Princess in Shining Armoire is an investigation of the nature and evolution of fairy tales, and their influence in the creation of queer identities and relationships.  Focusing on recurring characters and their roles in popular story lines, I am interested in what is possible when play is at the center of storytelling.

Through the elements of change and of permanence in fairy tales, I examine the influence of repetition, the disintegration of the character into its distinctive traits, and modes of power.

I am interested in how we relate to power, confinement, escape and freedom, as well as how the stories we tell and perform create our perception of our world and of our selves.
