Drawing and painting were two of my first passions. They were a way to examine, observe, imagine, release and be surprised – all in one activity. When I moved to Vancouver from Winnipeg to study at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, I started exploring in other mediums including sculpture, sound and installation, leaving painting and drawing aside…momentarily. I couldn’t stay away. After graduating and taking a few years to do some cycling and explore even more, I found myself painting and drawing again and never stopped.
